Academic Contribution to the Year of the Family
The “1st International Symposium on Social Research: Current Family Studies,” organized by the Department of Social Services at the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences at Yalova University, is being held as part of the declaration of 2025 as the Year of the Family.
The event will be held at the Mehmet Okul Congress Center between November 12-14, 2025, and will be an international scientific gathering with the participation of academics from different countries.
Dr. Mustafa Merter as Guest of Honor at the Opening Session
The opening session of the symposium will feature psychiatrist and author Dr. Mustafa Merter as the guest of honor. Dr. Merter will deliver a meaningful opening address to the symposium with his talk on the depths of the human soul and the psychological foundations of family bonds in the modern age.
A Platform Addressing the Family in Multiple Dimensions
The symposium aims to bring together academics, researchers, public representatives, and civil society organizations to address the multidimensional role of the family institution in social life in light of current approaches.
Current Family Studies, Digital Transformation, and Best Practices
The event will focus on themes such as family policies, social change, the digitalization process, and family dynamics, providing scientific assessments of the transformation of today's family structure.
One of the notable features of the symposium is that best practices and social service projects will also be presented during the sessions. This will encourage not only the production of academic knowledge but also the sharing of models that can be reflected in practice.
