The 12th Science Festival, organized by the Department of Social Work at Yalova University, took place on January 7, 2025, at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Hatice Hale Yurttabir delivered the opening conference with a presentation titled "Where is Artificial Intelligence Heading?" The conference addressed the impact of artificial intelligence on social work practices and education, and in this context, it was a wonderful conference that opened new horizons for the audience.
Following the conference, an exhibition of posters prepared by the students took place. The posters, created by the fourth-year students of the Yalova University Department of Social Work, were presented at the opening ceremony by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (FATBF), Prof. Dr. Hasan Kaplan, Head of the Department of Social Work, Prof. Dr. Ali Rıza ABAY, faculty members, and students.
In the afternoon, students delivered presentations in four sessions planned for the Science Festival. At the end of each session, a Science Festival evaluation session was held with the participation of faculty members. During this evaluation, students shared their experiences and recounted their three and a half years in a friendly atmosphere. At the end of the session, the department professors expressed their good wishes and hopes, and the 12th Social Work Department Science Festival concluded.
