As part of the “10 Years of Family and Population” initiatives and within the framework of National Family Week events, Prof. Dr. Harun Ceylan, a faculty member of the Department of Social Work, delivered a lecture titled “Family and Population Dynamics.”
The event, held on May 22 at 11:00 a.m. in the Yalova Provincial Special Administration Conference Hall, was organized under the coordination of the Yalova Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services.
The conference addressed transformations in family structure, population dynamics, demographic changes, fertility rates, the increase in the elderly population, the effects of digitalization on family relationships, and social policy applications aimed at strengthening the family. Additionally, the importance of a strong family structure for social integration and sustainable social development was emphasized.
The event contributed to raising participants’ awareness of current family and population policies while creating an important platform for academic and societal discussions aimed at strengthening the family institution.
As the Department of Social Work, our goal is to continue organizing scientific events that are community-based, responsive to current social issues, and aimed at strengthening collaboration with public institutions.
