The second seminar in the Academic Development Seminar series organized by the Department of Social Work at Yalova University was held with a presentation by Prof. Dr. Fethi Güngör.
The seminar, held on March 31, 2026, in Classroom B1, addressed the concept of “custom” and its importance, which is often described as the unwritten constitution of the academic community. Prof. Dr. Güngör shared comprehensive insights on academic identity, institutional culture, and etiquette in communication, as well as the ethical and behavioral principles that must be observed in various types of academic gatherings, such as conferences, symposia, workshops, and graduate-level advancement exams.
The event, which took place with the participation of our students and faculty members, concluded following discussions on the importance of professional conduct in the academic development process.
