The first in a series of “Academic Development Seminars” organized by our department was held with a presentation by Prof. Dr. Harun Ceylan.
The seminar, titled “Family and Population from a Social Work Perspective,” was held on March 3, 2026, in Classroom D1, and comprehensively addressed Turkey's current demographic structure and population projections. In his presentation, Prof. Dr. Ceylan emphasized population changes in Turkey, the transformation of the family institution, and the importance of these processes from the perspective of the social work discipline.
The seminar, which saw high participation from our students and faculty members, concluded with answers to questions raised by the attendees.
