Our department chair, Prof. Dr. Harun Ceylan, held a conference for students at the Yalova Naval Petty Officer Vocational School as part of a program organized in coordination with the Yalova Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services.
In his presentation titled “The Turkish Family Structure and the Strategic Importance of the Young Population,” Prof. Dr. Ceylan made comprehensive assessments on the historical development of the family institution, its role in social cohesion, and current socio-demographic transformations. Ceylan highlighted the demographic advantages that the young population offers Turkey and the strategic importance of this potential, emphasizing the critical role of a strong family structure in sustainable development.
The event, which drew intense interest from the students, concluded with a question-and-answer session.
