Representatives from the Yalova Branch of the Turkish Beyazay Association visited the Department of Social Work at Yalova University and met with the department administration and faculty members. During the visit, discussions were held regarding initiatives in the field of disability, social awareness activities, and opportunities for social work students to gain practical field experience.
As part of the visit, opportunities for collaboration were evaluated regarding the role of the social work profession in serving disadvantaged groups, accessibility, social participation, and rights-based approaches. It was emphasized that such interactions with partner institutions are important for contributing to students’ professional development and strengthening an educational philosophy that integrates with society.
This visit was evaluated as an activity that contributes to our department’s objectives of enhancing collaboration with external stakeholders, diversifying practical application areas, and increasing social awareness within the framework of our quality assurance and accreditation process.
